Bring you to your knees flavour: peach essence, sun-dappled pear and a host of heavenly green apple. A deep, resonant core of minerality and complexity. One of Canada's best producers of Riesling, if not the best.

Reviews and Ratings

Jeff Osborne rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Petrol and minerality on the nose, green apple and honey on the pallet with a long finish. This wine has a long standing reputation among wine lovers and Restaurateur's in the Niagara region.
Enjoy with Oysters, Salad, fish, or Roast Chicken.
Charles Baker has managed to do the extraordinary: top his 2010 Riesling in 2011, a much tougher vintage. The Stratus Picone Vineyard produces sublime Riesling fruit. The vineyard is owned by chef Mark Picone, and only 7 acres. Charles Baker is the winemaker and makes the most of this Vinemount Ridge sub-appellation climate and soil that adjoins the Twenty Mile Bench on Moyer Road in Vineland. The pink label for the 2011 vintage represents the fact that Baker is donating some of the profits from this wine to the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto for cancer treatment.
