This Californian sparkling wine producer is owned by one of Champagne's most revered wineries, Moët & Chandon, the same house that makes top-of-the-line Dom Pérignon. Chandon is actually no newcomer to the scene having been founded in the 1970s, and the first winery to make sparkling wine using the traditional Champagne method (Méthode Traditionelle). Blanc De Noirs This bubbly offers terrific value for the money; a great bottle to serve at small or larger gatherings given its taste: price ratio. Crisp, clean and dry with aromas of green apple and baked bread. Terrific!

Food pairings: fried chicken, vegetable curry, fish tacos.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dry, refreshing, slightly Tart citrus zest, almond croissant, limestone minerality. Well balanced, integrated. Traditional Method. Tasting well on its own and paired wonderfully with a Belizian fried fish taco. Tasted June 2017. 91 Points. BespokeTastings
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 81/100 with the following review:

This sparkling is made only of Pinot Noir (93%) and Pinot Meunier (7%).

Fine bubble, clear yellow color with aromas of hazelnuts and lemon.
This sparkling is fresh, sustainable and medium on the palata.

Pair it with a fish and chips.
Serve it at 5-6 degrees.
Enjoyable now.
A terrific and toasty Californian bubbly, especially at this price. Aromas of green apples and freshly baked bread. Pair with fried chicken. This lovely Californian sparkling wine is made using the Méthode Traditionnelle, the same traditional method used in Champagne with the second fermentation taking place in the bottle. - Community Wine Reviews
