Reviews and Ratings

Community Reviewer rated this wine as 86/100
This light-bodied Sylvaner has restrained aromas of fresh fruits; with flavours of melons, pear drops and lots of charm. This white wine from Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr winery... Practically unknown outside Alsace, although it was scattered throughout central Europe and is believed to have come from Transylvania, this grape variety remains widespread in the region. The wine has charm. Pale in colour it has restrained flavours of melons and peardrops. Dry and quite light in structure, it is elegant with a lingering fresh finish.
This light-bodied Sylvaner has delicate notes of ripe tree fruit, including peach and pear, with some tropical aromas. This white wine from Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr winery produces a delightful Sylvaner, a little-known (or appreciated) grape in wider wine circles. Sylvaner is thought to have been first cultivated in Transylvania, but this has not been definitely proven. This dry white offers an enticing pale straw colour and clean, crisp finish. Try to with fresh shellfish, steamed or poached.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
