Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied buttery chardonnay packed with ripe golden apple, pineapple, zesty-sweet Thai basil, flinty minerality and faint butterscotch notes. A well-balanced, juicy and tasty Chardonnay with loads of complexity and a long fruity finish. Enjoy with pan seared lemon garlic salmon. Tasted Sep 2017 by @sommsosa
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Big and bold, rich in butterscotch and ripe Granny Smith apple, savoury herb, limestone minerality with a well-balanced medium acidity. Pairs well with BBQ beer can chicken. Good value. Great Malo. Tasted 2016 vintage in Sept 2017. 91 pts. BespokeTastings
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted March 24th, 2018. We drank this wine for dinner. Brown butter grilled wild Atlantic salmon with Cajun shrimp, roast Dutch potatoes, very creamy inside, roasted outside with herbs De province. Green beans. The wine matched very well with this dish with aromas of yellow apple, pineapple and butter. Tasted dry, medium mouthfeel, mouthwatering and a long finish. Very nice Chardonnay from Argentina.
From renown producer, Catena, High Mountain Vines (2016) is a well-priced, classic and full-bodied Chardonnay from Argentina that has seen some oak age. Ripe green apple and vanilla spice are prominent on this well-balanced luscious white. The inimitable Laura Catena works with chief winemaker Alejandro Vigil create this beautifully expressive white wine. - Community Wine Reviews
