Natalie's Score: 90/100

Savoury, supple and full-bodied with mouth-watering dark red fruit and smoke aromas. Meaty and delicious with great richness and a return-to-the-glass compulsion. Drink with meaty dishes and conversation. This robust red is a blend of mostly the Sangiovese grape with a splash of Canaiolo. A lovely, long finish seals the deal as authentic and classic chianti.

Chianti Classico Riserva food pairings: meat-sauce pasta, beef stew, grilled portobello mushrooms, herb-encrusted steak.

Reviews and Ratings

The 2013 Gambero Rosso guide awarded this wine its highest rating of 3 glasses (out of 3). One of 13 Chianti Classico labels to be awarded "three glasses" by Vini Italia 2013. Beautiful floral notes accent clearly delineated red licorice, cherry, earth and underbrush aromas. The palate presents sour and black cherry tones in an earthy and traditionally styled package. Smooth and balanced with a long finish. An exceptional value that offers a feel-good expression of old-world charm. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, June 2013

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
