From the Tuscany wine region, Castelli del Grevepesa Clemente Vii 2019 Chianti Classico is produced from 100% Sangiovese sustainably-grown grapes. Fragrant with blackberry, blueberry, earthy, loamy aromas; dry, medium-bodied and vibrant on the palate with tart dark cherry, blueberry, fresh mushroom, nutty and fine herb flavours vibrant on the palate. Tannins are firm and grippy. Good now, better in 2024.

Chianti Classico food pairings: breaded veal cutlets, cobb salad, roast beef, cheesy pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a great value Chianti with loads of flavour. Aromas of sour cherry and ripe strawberry with hints of mocha, cedar and dark spices. Medium bodied with some soft, drying tannins and bright, mouthwatering acidity. Fruit notes are tart and bright on the palate with a spicy, earthy finish. Enjoy with spicy meat pizza or charcuterie.
