Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Good concentration in the aromas of sour cherry, ripe red fruit, smoke, and cocoa. More cherry on the palate between fine acidity and firm tannins. Drinking very nicely now with vibrant expression and fine balance. Excellent match for lamb with rosemary and thyme, pizza, or pecorino cheese.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pronounced red fruit for this developing Chianti Classico. Cherry, plum, red current, stewed strawberry, fig and graphite notes. Additionally on the finish- clove, cedar, dried cranberry, leather and tobacco. Flavourful and tart. The wine is dry, with high acidity and medium grippy tannins that leave a lingering textured mouthfeel with a zesty, velvety finish. An awesome accompaniment to a thin crust pizza topped with sun dried tomatoes. 90 points
Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

dark black cherry and forest floor aromas associated with Chianti Classico. Perfect replay of these aromas on the palate with a dusting of tannins. Earth and oak are quite pronounced on the finish.
This Chianti Classico is made from 100% Sangiovese wine grapes sourced from the Tuscany wine region. Look for ripe black plum, dark fruit, mocha and vanilla on this deep, juicy red. Great acidity for food, tannins are fine and grippy. Pair with a rich, meaty lasagne dish. - Community Wine Reviews
