Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied Armarone, this wine has red fruit, cherry and spice aromas with more of the same on the palate. Well-balanced with medium acidity and tannins and a long, warm, spicy finish. Serve with beef stew, African dishes with baking spices or Moroccan fare.
Castelforte 2015 Amarone Della Valpolicella is full-bodied and lush with sweet black cherry, dark berry, ripe red plum, fig, sweet cake spice and cedar spice flavours juicy and soft on the palate. Produced from Corvina and Rondinella wine grapes that were dried for over three months to concentrate the flavours in the grapes, then vinified and stored in demi-muids. Pair with roast duck. - Community Wine Reviews
