Deeply concentrated ruby red and 14.5% ABV. Chewy, tangy, chalky, tart. Dark cherry, pomegranate, dark chocolate. Firm silky tannins, well-balanced alcohol, acidity and fruit. Pairs well with BBQ gourmet burgers, rare steak. Tasted 2013 vintage May 2017. 92 points. BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Sumptuous jammy plum and blackberry with prominent graphite minerality, vanilla, and faint balsamic notes. A lovely full-bodied Merlot with balanced acidity and a long cinnamon spice finish. Enjoy with grilled beef kebabs. Tasted May 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A good Merlot is a beautiful thing and this beauty from B.C.'s Okanagan Valley is memorable. Ripe raspberry and plum jammy aromas followed by a delicious palate with red jam, vanilla and slight spice. Well-balanced with good acidity and rich lingering finish. Enjoy with roast pork and grilled vegetables and spicy mustard or grilled lamb chops.
Tasted Feb. 2017
British Columbia's South Okanagan Burrowing Owl's Merlot is consistently good and the 2013 vintage will not disappoint. The nose is pronounced with black cherry, plum and mulberry. The wine is intense with great backbone and a vibrant acidity. Drinking beautiful now. - Community Wine Reviews
