A full-bodied red blend of Grenache and Syrah from the Campo de Borja wine region. Juicy and generous with ripe cherry, black fruit wrapped up in a veil of smoke. Great acidity for food. Pair with grilled lamb chops.

Garnacha Syrah food pairings: grilled farmer's style pork chops, slow-cooked pork ribs, crown pork roast.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

If you like Garnacha, you'll love this rich and intensely flavoured Garnacha Syrah blend. Bursting with ripe cherry, vanilla, espresso, pepper and smoke, it's a fullbodied mouthful of juicy flavours. Great acidity makes it a hit with grilled lamb kebabs or barbequed bison burgers. Excellent value at $16.95. @borsaobodegas

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Marked by scents of mint, ripe red fruits and smoked meat, the 2015 Borsao Bole is a stylish Garnacha Syrah blend. From a cooperative situated in the Campo de Borja wine region, it was medium to full body and showcased ample tannins and a long, fruit finish. Enjoy.

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bodegas Borsao Bole 2015, made from a vibrant blend of Garnacha and Syrah, shows aromas of dark cherry, dried strawberry, black pepper, clay pot, leather, chocolat and oak. Full body with a round and fruity finish, this wine will please with its balance and drinkability. Palate: Maraschino cherry, raspberry, black tea, leather, pie crust and oak. Amazing value. Enjoy!
Borsao Bole 2015 is robust and smoky with ripe black fruit, juicy, liquid cherries and crushed raspberry flavours on the palate. Don't know whether to sniff it or drink it (kidding). But it does have a beautiful smoky ripe berry and cherry fruit nose. The Grenache vines are 15-30 years old and the Syrah vines are 10 years of age. - Community Wine Reviews
