A full-bodied, complex and layered Californian red wine made from grapes that are farmed biodynamically (organic plus more measures to preserve the vineyard ecology). Aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, toasty oak, smoke and graphite. Decant 1 hour and pair with a rare steak, organic and grass-fed beef, of course.

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Rich and supple, velvety smooth tannins, dry and well balanced. Big ripe cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate, anise, savoury, slight smokiness. Medium plus alcohol, full bodied, mouthwatering acidity. Vinifiés with biodynamic grapes. Pairs well with a grilled beef tenderloin and BBQ root veggies. Tasted 2013 vintage in August 2018 after a 2 hour decant. 92 points.
McNab Ranch, Mendocino County, California BONTERRA THE MCNAB 2013 750 $59.95. Bonterra's The McNab 2013 is a big red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Olive Vines Petit Sirah from biodynamically grown grapes from a single vineyard, the McNab Ranch. Lots of ripe blackberries, currants and cedar spice on the nose with ripe raspberry, red plum and cake spice and smoky vanilla flavours on the palate. Pair with a rare roast beef. - Community Wine Reviews
