This gorgeous Californian white blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc grapes, traditionally grown in the Rhone Valley, but in this wine achieve a Californian signature. The vineyard from which these grapes are sourced is named Beeswax, and is certified biodynamic by Demeter. This wine offers attractive notes of honey, beeswax (naturally), guava and lemongrass. Just slightly off-dry. Drink

Roussanne Grenache Blanc food pairings: mild curry, roast chicken, crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous Rhone style white from California's Bonny Doon - Beeswax vineyard. Complex aromatics. Beeswax, honey, ripe yellow apple, green melon, pineapple. Pairs well with grilled pork chops and apple sauce, or stuffed jalapeño, or Asian pork and pineapple kebabs, or lemon and cilantro lobster tails. Diversity at its finest. Tasted 2011 Reserve decanted 2h in July 2017. 93 points. BespokeTastings
