Reviews and Ratings

Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby. Aromas of prunes and other warm ripe fruits, stewed meats, cigar box, and hint of barn yard. Medium-plus body, medium-plus chewy tannins with balanced acidity. Medium-long finish of leathery ripe fruits. Would pair well with shredded boar meat, ox tail, or meat stews.
This Spanish red wine is made from the country's leading red grape, 100% Tempranillo. The wine was aged in both French and American oak barrels that combine these 2 wood types in the same barrel made especially for the winery for 12 months. Lots of structure. Pair with hard cheeses and duck or game dishes. This is the magnum size format equivalent to two regular sized bottles. - Community Wine Reviews
