A fantastic buy!

How can you go wrong at this price with this juicy Monastrell (a.k.a. Mourvèdre), which displays moderate aromas of plums, red fruits, violets and mint as well as a yummy medium-light mouthfeel of ripe italian plums and some new leather smokiness. While the tannins are a bit austere, they are balanced by a bright fresh acidity.

Overall, a very pleasant red, which paired wonderfully with a medium-rare barbecued ribeye steak.
"By keeping our roots, we follow our traditions. We have committed ourselves to produce top-quality wines, developing our genuine Monastrell grape variety.“ – Daniel Castano

The Castaño family are considered pioneers in Yecla, experimenting with Monastrell to create beautiful wines, introducing the latest technology, not only in the vineyard but also in the winery, and implementing new quality systems that allow sustainable winemaking.

Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 80% traditional maceration; 20% carbonic maceration.

Shiny cherry red, with violet notes and a robe of medium intensity. Intense fruity aroma of mature red fruits (blueberries, raspberry). A silky mouthfeel; good structure and well balanced.
