Reviews and Ratings

Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is a great value Spanish monastrell (A.K.A. mourvedre). It offers rich, ripe fruit flavours with a touch of oak, full-body, and some more Old-World spicy and savoury qualities. The aromas center around jammy raspberry and dark cherry, with some licorice, black pepper, cedar, and smokey/gamey tones. The fruit shows more freshness and restraint on the palate, allowing for the spicy, savoury characteristics to show more. The acidity is fresh, the tannins are slightly coarse, and there is some volatility. There is a decent length, cocoa-tinged finish. Rustic, yet easily appealing. Would benefit from a brief decanting, to soften the volatility (splash it around a bit). Should compliment a variety of grilled meats quite nicely. Tasted Apr. 2017.
Shudbesailing rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Alcohol is overpowering.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
