This is something special! This robust, savoury BC red wine is made from the Carmenere grape, more closely associated with Chile than the Okanagan Valley. However, this is a gorgeous expression of this varietal. Aromas of dark plum, bacon, smoke and cedar brush. Decant 1 hour. Perfect for grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous mouthfeel in this exceptional Okanagan Carmenere. Ruby red, 13% abv. Green pepper forward, with savoury herb, chewy cherry, hint of leather. Pair with Thai basil beef stir fry. Well done. Tasted 2015 vintage in May 2017 after decanting 2 h. 90 points. BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pronounced pepper, black plum, cassis, and graphite aromas upfront with a tangy mildly tannic mouthfeel and a lingering berry and spice flavours on the palate. Overall, a well-balanced wine with prominent pepper note and a is slightly pithy finish. Enjoy with grilled steak. Tasted May 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
