Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots going on in this surprising value. Coffee, vanilla, stewed red currants and cherries. Sweet earth and some underbrush elements also making themselves evident. I'm 88 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Bruce McHendry rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

First of all I was a little concerned due to the low price. I had nothing to worry about. This was a pleasant surprise. It had a nice smooth fruity flavour that finished dry but not too much. A pleasant wine with a nice mix of fruit and slight pepper finish to it. As I said, given the low price it was a nice surprise how good it was. Nice wine and great value !
Eat Magazine Jan/11 - 3.5 stars...."New world meets old Sapin....Notes of earthy cherry and currants lead to a robust and juicy palate with flavours of black cherry, pepper, dusty cocoa and savoury spice.."
89/100 Wine Advocate (vol 188), April 2010..."Black cherry and blue berry aromas lead to a dense, plush savory wine which finishes with no hard edges. It is shockingly good for the money.."
4 stars - Vic Harradine, Winecurrent, Sept 26/11
87/100 Dave Lawrason, Ottawa Magazine, Aug/11
