Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This 70% Sangiovese/30% Merlot is solid in all respects. There is a hint of garrigue on the nose along with dried fruit while showing generous cherry and red fruit on the silky, smooth palate. Good fruit on a long finish. Very approachable. Good value. Pair with spicy pasta, pizza or burgers. Tasted January 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A red blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot, from Tuscany, there are blackberry and sweet herbal notes in the aroma. The palate continues on with the fruit. Light acidity and medium tannins. Pair with spicy tomato sauced dishes.
From the Tuscany wine region, Bernardeschi Governo All'uso Rosso 2017 is a full-bodied red wine bend of 70% Sangiovese with 30% Merlot, hand harvested and aged up to three months in French oak barrels. Look for ripe blackberry, plum, vibrant dark cherry and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are dusty. Pair with a meat-lover's pizza. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
