Reviews and Ratings

Alan Dunne rated this wine as 92/100
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Crafted from grapes grown at about 3000 feet or 900 metres above sea level. Pleasant and ripe notes of cassis, blackcurrant, black cherry, and plum. Fruit dominates the nose while the barrels take the palate with oak, barrel spice, cocoa, and smoke flavours. Balanced elements, nothing too high or low when it comes to alcohol, acidity, or tannins. This Cabernet Sauvignon is pretty nice and offers fair value. Serve with grilled beef or with chocolate-covered dark fruit.
Benmarco 2016 is a classic Argentinean Cabernet Sauvignon from Los Árboles in the Uco Valley. Great value under $20. Dry, medium-bodied, fresh with bright dark plum, blackberry, cassis, savoury herb and dark spice flavours with great acidity for food on the palate. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Tannins are firm. Pair with grilled lamb chops. - Community Wine Reviews
