Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Tidal Bay is uniquely Nova Scotian, in fact this is Nova Scotia's first wine appellation and also the name of their signature white wine. Benjamin Bridge's Tidal Bay is a unique blend of L’Acadie, Oretega, and Geisenhiem (grapes) that shows perfumed sweet orchard fruit, floral blossoms, and a refreshing Atlantic sea breeze on the nose. Subtle effervesence complements the racy palate cleansing texture that makes this wine ideally suited for enjoying with rich seafood dishes, or oysters on the half shell. White grapefruit, lime zest and minerality persist on the long crisp and clean finish. Serve ice-cold on a patio in the summer sun and enjoy the exceptionally refreshing characteristics of this premium Canadian white wine. Tasted April 2017. 92 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

My favourite Tidal Bay of all, with its fragrant nose of citrus, white florals and saline touches. Mouth-watering acidity on the delicious medium-bodied palate echoes the nose and adds dried mango and tart green apple. Long lip-smacking finish with saline and citrus notes makes you wonder why you didn't buy an extra bottle of this star in Benjamin Bridge's stable. Enjoy with a rich seafood stew or with salty nuts.

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A gorgeous crisp, tart, saline and zesty white blend. Well balanced, medium plus acidity, dry, medium finish with persistence of Bartlett pear, orange blossom, nectarine flesh. Paired well with Asian crispy lemon chicken as it did with chicken pad Thai. Fantastic Canadian East coast blend from the Nova Scotia tidal bay appellation. Tasted 2016 vintage in Sept 2017. 91 points. BespokeTastings
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Pale white straw colour with silvery edge. Clear with very light tears. Glorious aromas of white grapefruit, lemon, honeysuckle, green apple, minerals and some sulphuric notes here too on the nose. In the mouth: Lots of citrus, grapefruit, thyme and more green apple reflections. Very high acid, hard to tell it has 9g/L of residual sugar as it balances out nicely. Crisp and fresh. Lower in alcohol 9.5%. A stellar Tidal Bay Nova Scotia wine with a great blend of Acadie Blanc (50%), Ortega (30%) and Geisenheim (20%) grapes from this stellar producer, Benjamin Bridge. Pair with Thai fusion dishes and sushi. 89 points.
