Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Priya: This was the perfect wine with our greek takeout, it's as if it was made to pair with vegetables. I'm surprised to hear that it's a white Burgundy since I haven't been such a fan of Burgundy so far. I prefer it with food but it's still nice on its own, and for me, that's huge. 89 pts

Alex: Ah yes a rare white Burgundy that Priya appreciates! Mostly because there is no funky/yeasty element present to the aromatics of this one, as is often then case with Burgundy wines. It is very tangy, but also with some roundness and yellow apple fruit, somewhat like a crossing of chiseled Chablis and a richer Chassagne. And yes, it's that pronounced acidity that allows it to ally with vegetables and garlic, the lima beans in tomato sauce and skordalia dip went particularly well. Overall, a well-made and well-priced value Burgundy. 89 pts
The Bejot winery was established in 1891 by Jean-Baptiste Bejot, and now has more than 260 hectares of vineyards that stretch from Chablis to Mâconnais, and another 270 hectares in southern France from the Rhône Valley to Corbières. The 2013 vintage of this Premier Cru Burgundy has lots of crisp acidity and is designated a premier cru wine made from Chardonnay grapes. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
