Reviews and Ratings

Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

August 17, 2014: Pale straw, nose is a little muted but still showing some herbaceousness and passion fruit. Mouthwatering, with a kiss of sweetness under the acidity, passion fruit and apple make on appearance on the palate. The finish is a little short. A pleasant wine for the patio with some appetizers.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A fairl closed wine for a Sauvignon Blanc, with subtle aromas of white melon and lemon. The taste is more pineaple and lime, with good acidity.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Wine is pale lemon with Medium aromas featuring citrus, fresh cut green pepper, green appple, herbal.
The palate reveals fresh acidity with aromas duplicated. A vegetal component is evident at the back end.
Length is medium+ with a cleansing finish.
Definitive salad wine.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon yellow. Softer lemon and some herbaceous notes on the nose and the palate. Fresh and slightly grassy, not as tart as expected. Finish is a bit short.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

Pretty closed wine. Applesauce and straw. Pear and apple on the palate. Very light.
Shelley Harris rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

A pale yellow wine with fruity aroma and melon overtones on the palate. Would complement well a meal of grilled salmon.
Tom Vigeant reviewed this wine as follows:

Pleasant, moderately intense citrus with a hint of herbaceous character and minerality on the nose. Well balanced, lively acidity. Light to medium bodied. Herbaceous character comes out a little too strongly in the finish, overtaking the citrus flavours.
An enjoyable, wine with bright, refreshing fruit character.
Grapes are sourced primarily from the Central Coast and Lodi.

A long, cool fermentation focused the fruit and retained the crisp acids.

The mild, even growing season of 2012 produced excellent fruit quality.
