Reviews and Ratings

Luc Delorme rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Bright and crisp extra dry wine with lime and green apple on the nose as well as palate. Slightly vegetal on the nose at first as very dry wines from cool climates often are, the palate is squarely in the lime and green apple realm. Enough acid to work well with seafood or light cream sauce, or as a mouth-watering apéritif. A good choice as something different from the ubiquitous New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
Baron De Hoen Réserve 2014 is a classic Alsatian Pinot Blanc. On the nose delicate florals of orange blossoms and white peach. The wine has a bit of a spritz on it, a zesty acidity, crisp with stonefruit, nectarine, melon on the palate and finishing with a spicy kick - just a hint of old world rusticity. Excellent with pan-fried fish. - Community Wine Reviews
