This full-bodied Spanish red wine is a blend of Pempranillo, Grenache, Graciano and Mazuelo grapes. Gorgeous! Dry and earthy with dusty tanned leather aromas. Tastes mature. Awesome for the price. Pair with savoury dishes like lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full-bodied with velvety tannins. Beautiful dark fruit, layered with leather and earthy notes. Well-balanced with a long finish. Pair with roasted lamb shank and herbed vegetables. Tasted March 2017.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I haven't made it to Spain yet but when I do I plan on drinking lots of Tempranillo that taste like this beauty! Aromas of ripe cherry, vanilla, leather and smoke. Cherry, strawberry and a bit of spice on the palate. The tannins are soft and the acidity is low which makes this a very approachable and food friendly wine. Steak on the bbq, roast on Sunday night, burgers and meatloaf - all would be the perfect foil. Tasted March 20, 2017
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Great value on this Rioja. Well balanced, mediummplus body, integrated dusty tannins, ripe plum, aged leather, savoury with notes of baking spices. Tasted 2012 vintage in May 2019 decanted. Enjoy soon. Pairs well with BBQ, braised or roasted meats. 89 points
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Intense! Uncork and decant for at least an hour. Aromas show pronounced dates, floral, leather and spice notes. The palate shows juicy acidity, mild tannins, and a long mocha finish. Enjoy this bargain Spanish red with braised beef. Tasted March 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A blend of mainly Tempranillo with some Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. Fairly simple wine with a pretty ruby-red colour and cherry, blackberry, hints of spice on the nose and palate. Nicely structured for drinking now, with a core of tannins that will hold up to beefy fare.
Stephanie rated this wine as 81/100
