Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep garnet colour. Light fruit and spice on the nose. Full bodied with dark, brambleberry fruit on the palate. Lovely, smooth and round mouth feel. Tannins are very fine. Nicely structured with good length. Very satisfying pour! Try with anything from pizza to pasta to lamb burgers. Good Value. Tasted April 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Ripe, jammy, and baked red fruit aromas of red cherry and raspberry, reminiscent of mom's berry crumble in the over. Toasty oak and cinnamon hints. The slightest impression of sweetness before acidity and tannins enter to dispel that notion. Jammy red fruit finish, another suggestion of sweetness, but there's little doubt that this full-bodied and smooth red is anything but extra dry. Excellent for barbecue ribs with a sweet sauce, spit-roasted lamb, or Manchego cheese.
Alchymia 2015 is a robust, concentrated and juicy Primitivo from the Puglia Wine Region, with ripe red berry, strawberry, cake spice and toasty flavours. Duca di Saragnano is actually a small hamlet of Baronissi in the Province of Salerno, southern Italy. However the name was also granted to the Barbanera family to use for their winery. Great value under $20. Pair with BBQ chicken, burgers and pork kebabs. - Community Wine Reviews
