A robust red with great depth and complexity at an excellent price point. Syrah add so much character to this blend with fleshy blackberries and cherries. It's full-bodied, balanced and smooth. Perfect for grilled meats and hard cheeses. Highly recommended.

Malbec food pairings: herb-roasted lamb, pork tenderloin, cheddar cheese, spaghetti and meat balls.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A smooth, supple and fruit-driven cool climate Malbec. Crafted from hand-selected grapes grown at high-altitude in the Mendoza Valley, this is n excellent example of Argentina's signature varietal. Aromatic with dark cherry, plum and violet notes, repeated on a velvety palate with delicious mocha and spice. Lush, lingering finish. A buy-again-soon wine! Pair with barbeque ribs and sweet potato wedges.
Tasted May 2018
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A great example of an Argentinian Malbec from the Uco Valley. Full bodied and smooth the palate is showing ample amounts of dark fruit - blackberry, blueberry, and plum - smoke, pepper spice and violet. Drying mouthfeel with a lingering dark fruit finish. Tasted November 2017.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Full-bodied, dry, mouthwatering acidity, densely concentrated ripe plum, savoury, dark chocolate, lip smacking mouthfeel. Pairs well with rack of lamb and roasted beets. Tasted 2014 vintage in Nov 2017, decanted 2 h. 89 points. Great value. Crowd pleaser.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted May 15th, 2018. Colour light cherry red on rim, darker in core. Legs medium plus thick. Aromas and flavours of violets, cherry licorice, blackberry, red pepper, bitter chocolate. Taste dry, medium plus mouthfeel, mouthwatering, smooth silky tannin with bitter cocoa. Finishes medium. Easy drinking wine. Better if let to breathe. I had a T bone steak with steak sauce and the wine was a good match because it added to the flavour of the steak. Good value for the price. BBQ wine.
