Love this clementine rich, peach bright dessert wine! Lovely orange peel and baking spices. Perfect for fruit cobbler. This is a fortfied wine from a denominated appellation and the grape variety Moscatel de Setubal and is aged in oak barrels. OTHER: A fresh-tasting sweetie, with tightly wound flavors of butterscotch, dried apricot and mango. Offers a spicy finish, showing hints of dried pineapple and mocha. Drink now through 2025. - Community Wine Reviews

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A lovely bright amber colour. Very fragrant with candied orange rind, honey and toffee, echoed on a buttery rich palate. Serve this dessert wine with a rich dark chocolate Sacher Torte.
Tasted April 2017
Dan Carkner reviewed this wine as follows:

A pale, golden brown colour with a watery rim.
Aromas of golden raisin, dried apricot, anise, clove, and old barn wood.
The apricot shows strongest on the palate with caramelized apple, lemon, wildflower honey, and white chocolate joining in.
Medium body with medium high acidity and a slippery mouthfeel.
Dried fruit and tart apple persist in a long finish.
A great aperitif or well suited alongside an almond tart with lemon curd.
From world renown producer, Jose Maria Da Fonseca, Alambre Moscatel De Setubal (2010) is great value with its pronounced dried apricot, mango and tropical fruits on the nose finishing with chocolate spice on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
