Rich and deep with liquid velvet texture. Fleshy black plums flavours infused oh so subtly with espresso... this wine will make you sit back and close your eyes. And sigh.

Barb Potocnik reviewed this wine as follows:

Aldene bought for steak supper.
The 2005 vintage of the Convento San Francisco is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Merlot grapes with half of the Tempranillo vines older than invasion of the root louse phylloxera. Incredibly, the grapes for this wine come from 46 different sites. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
