Reviews and Ratings

From John Boutari & Son, 1879 Boutari Legacy 2007 is a full-bodied 100% Xinomavro red wine produced from a single vineyard in Trilofos Naoussa, Macedonia. The wine was named 1879 in honour of the year the company was established in Naoussa by John Boutari. Fragrant with red berry dried fruit, tomato leaf and cigar box aromas. On the palate, this wine is juicy with ripe dark plum, red berry fruit, cacao and roasted nuts flavours on the palate. The wine was aged in oak barrel for one year. Tannins are still working themselves out. Hold in cellar for five years to see how this Greek beauty evolves. Pair with game dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
