Chateau Puyfromage's robe shows vivid carmine colour. On the nose, the liquorice aromas of the Merlot, A well balanced wine with a rich and pleasantly long finish.

La robe du Château Puyfromage présente des couleurs carmin. Au nez, on découvre les arômes de réglisse du Merlot. Un vin bien équilibré avec un fini riche et agréablement long.

Darlene Myers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I loved this Merlot dominant Bordeaux, and thought it was extraordinary value. I let it breathe for an hour and found it really opened up. Nice ruby red color, and you can really detect the Merlot in the fruits, smoky plums, and spicy oak. I enjoyed this wine on the deck with friends, but it would also go with a variety of cheeses, grilled pork, and chicken dishes.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
