Licencee only product. A lovely medium+ body Bordeaux blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Inky ruby colour with thick legs showing extraction. This is a no nonsense wine. Dark cherry, cassis, blackberry, leather, tar, tasted oak, black earth. Medium+ round tannins, medium+ acidity with long fruit driven finish. Perfect with our Argentinian salted beef. No distractions.
Tasted: October 2014
Jane Staples rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This opaque ruby red wine from Mendoza, Argentina has an aromatic nose with ripe dark berry notes and touches of smoke and coffee. The palate repeats these rich flavours. Aged in new French oak. 14.8% D Awarded 91 points from Wine Spectator.
It was a terrific match with Beef Shortribs.

Ruby red color of remarkable intensity. Excellent aromatic complexity with notes of ripe fruit and a fine touch of smoke and coffee. Rich on the palate with an excellent concentration.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
