Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Time Estate Meritage 2016 has stood the test of time. Drinking at its best now, it is a dry, full-bodied 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc red wine blend, subtle with aromas dried dark berry, cassis, dried tobacco, anise and cedar brush spice elegantly ageing with velvety tannins and still quite bright acidity on the palate. Beautifully structured and well put together, enjoy it with burgers and a prime rib from the grill. Tasted May 2024.

In 1988, a group of American vintners formed The Meritage Association (Meritage Alliance) to create and promote wine blends crafted from traditional Bordeaux grape varieties. Harry McWatters established the Meritage term in Canada, convincing the original Napa group to make the term available to North America producers as well as world-wide. Red Meritage is known and loved for its smooth, silky texture, intense flavours and structure. Very approachable in its youth, the wine also can age beautifully, as this one has!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
