Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Always refined and elegant, Hester Creek Estate Winery's Old Vines Trebbiano (2022) is subtle on the nose with white florals, grapefruit, pear and lime zest aromas. Dry and fresh, the wine is barely medium-bodied on the palate with soft citrus, stone fruit and fresh cut pear and apple flavours with just a hint of fine herbs, white pepper spice and tropical fruit notes. We poured it with a seafood ceviche and it was a perfect pairing. Hester Creek Estate Winery's Old Vine Trebbiano originates from Block 16 of their historic Golden Mile Bench Estate vineyard. Grapes were hand-harvested, sorted and destemmed in preparation for whole berry pressing. The juice was cold settled in stainless-steel tanks for three days, then racked for a cool month-long fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine rested for four months prior to bottling. Tasted May 2023.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of pineapple, pear, saline minerality and a hint of lychee. Light bodied with bright, mouthwatering acidity, crisp mineral notes and bright citrus with a touch of sweet passionfruit and lychee on the finish. Perfect seafood wine.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
