Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is such a beautiful Pinot Noir from Prince Edward County, where making wine is a true labour of love, managing harsh winters, and other challenges. This Pinot has notes of ripe cherry, bramble, earthy notes and a touch of a mineral. Medium bodied on the palate with vibrant acidity on the palate, fresh, ripe red berry notes and some rustic tannins and earthy hints on the finish. Lovely. Enjoy with a slow roasted pork loin.
Craig Haynes rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

There’s plenty of goodness happening here.

Hailing from Ontario’s Prince Edward County wine appellation, this Pinot Noir delights my senses with its elegant, dialed down aromas and flavours and marvellous mouthfeel appeal.

In my glass, this single vineyard Pinot Noir evokes earthy mushrooms, dried herbs and sweet cedar but most significantly layers of ripe red cherries. No jammy cherries here. For me, this creation feels velvety, medium bodied, dry, and shows pleasing light touch tannin and acidity. All this to say this Pinot Noir is delicious.

Located in Hilier, Ontario, Closson Chase released their first estate vintage in 2004.
Their focus on three varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris.
