Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Made from 92% Pinot Noir, 5% Viognier, and 3% Chardonnay, and aged 5 months in neutral oak, this certified Organic Rosé releases aromas of red field berries, predominantly strawberry, delicate floral, cantaloupe, clementine, almond torte, with just a hint of fresh mint.

Dry and medium-bodied on the palate with fresh acidity and notes of nectarine, strawberry, pomelo, lime, almond, and saline minerality.

Enjoy on its own or with seafood salad, pan-seared fish, or with a light Summer salad.

Tasted July 2022.

Natalie's Review

Hidden Bench Locust Lane Rosé 2021, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: From the Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, Hidden Bench Locust Lane 2021 Pinot Noir is as enticing on the palate as it is on the nose, elegant and fresh with pink florals, ripe strawberry, stone fruit, rhubarb, citrus zest, fine herbs and a kiss of spice. Produced in a combination of direct-press and saignée methods, beautifully-balanced and food versatile, chill and enjoy it with grilled salmon steaks or vegetable kebabs. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
