Perfect for those late summer evening BBQ's or just cozying up to the fire. This blend is robust, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, coffee, graphite and sweet tobacco. Full bodied, smooth on the palate with soft tannins, and medium+ acidity. Fruit notes are rich, dark, and ripe. Finish has a hint of spice and a touch of tobacco sweetness. As mentioned, would pair well with any BBQ'd meats, or with a roasted rack of lamb.

Deep dark purple coloured full bodied dry wine, with medium plus acidity and tannin and high alcohol. Aromas of spice and vanilla with black plum bring the principal dark fruit aroma; there were traces of other dark fruits. There are notes of cocoa, black pepper, graphite, tobacco and a slight stemmy note; wine has a dusty quality. aromas repeated in the palate. Wine paired very well with food flavoured with rosemary; think meat grilled or roasted with rosemary.

88/100 with the following review:
In my glass, this red blend from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley appellation has lively scents like ripe red cherries, currants, plums and cedar contrasted with lower key flavours expressed as ripe red cherries, plums and eucalyptus.
Matured in French oak for 16 months, it feels full bodied, dry, warm, velvety, with minimal tannin.
Crafted with five hand harvested varietals, this creation’s blend bill mostly Merlot (65%) with some Syrah, Malbec, Carmenere and Barbera.
I’ll serve this with sliders and BBQ sweet potatoes wedges.

Made from 65.5% Merlot, 15.9% Syrah, 7.5% Malbec, 7.5% Carmenere, and 3.8% Barbera, this full-bodied Red from the Okanagan Valley expresses notes of blackberry and plum on the nose along with strawberry, cherry, violet, cedar, cigar box, chocolate, espresso, and hints of pencil shavings.
Tart plum and blackberry notes on the palate with smooth tannins, and a sharp espresso finish. The flavours linger.
Perfect red meat wine, whether grilled or roasted.

There are a lot of grapes adding to the complexity of this full bodied dry red from Black Hills Estate, located between Osoyoos and Oliver B.C. The mix is: 65.5% Merlot15.9% Syrah 7.5% Malbec 7.5% Carmenere 3.8% Barbera
As you can imagine on the nose there is lots of ripe cooked fruit, black cherry, plum and blackberries. On the palate it's juicy and fruit forward with a touch of greenness that another year or two in the bottle should smooth out. Medium acidity and grippy tannins. A full bodied wine at 14% alcohol.
Medium/long finish of black cherry, spice and oak. I suggest buying a few bottles and laying some down to try again in 12 months.
A great bbq wine for the summer with ribs, burgers and steak.

Blended form Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Carmenere and Barbera, the wine is full-bodied, with polished tannins and light acidity. Produced by Black Hills Estate Winery in the Okanagan Valley, this well made wine will please with its friendly food pairing DNA. Palate: tart plum, blackberry, bay leaf, leather, mocha, spice, vanilla and cedar. Enjoy!
