Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

One for the country fans! I would say this maybe "drinks above its weight class" as when I first tasted this I thought it might be more like a $28-$30 wine (CAD), but it's extremely well priced at $21.95. Aromas of cassis and raspberry with hints of mocha and warm smoke. Full bodied with some soft, dry tannins, juicy berry hints and a smoky, spicy finish. Enjoy with grilled burgers or steak.
Craig Haynes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The Uncaged’s stunning aromas gave me something to talk about around my kitchen table. They evoke ripe cherries and plums, eucalyptus, mint, potting soil and more. Oh my. Top up my glass, please.

The Uncaged experience continues with dark fruit flavours teaming up with small scale spicy oak notes. Delicious. From California’s statewide viticulture area, this elegant Cabernet Sauvignon feels full bodied, super dry, textured and shows firm grippy tannins.

I’d gladly share a bottle with friends now. However, I’d also cellar a bottle in order to let the flavours develop as the big tannins recede. Serve this with ribs and mature hard cheeses.

Natalie's Review

Z. Alexander Brown Uncaged Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, California, United States: Produced by winemaker John Killebrew. Z. Alexander Brown's Uncaged is a full-bodied California Cabernet Sauvignon, silky smooth on the palate with black cherry, dark plum, blackberry and savoury spicy herb flavors with fine-grained Tannins. Good now, but give it some time in cellar to mellow. Try in 2023-2024. Drink: 2023-2026. 478628 14% D 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 90/100. June 29, 2022 Top Rated Red Wine.
