Ghislain Lalonde rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

MBF, DL89(5), NM88, This is a deeply coloured, quite tannic red that reminds me of cabernet sauvignon with its lifted blackcurrant fruit, fresh herbs and considerable oak spice, toast and vanilla. It is very appealing, although on the palate the tannins and heat kick in, leaving a rather rustic impression. The length is very good. Tasted Nov 2021
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of dark cherry and plums, with notes of cigar box and dried herbs. Medium bodied with bright acidity and some light tannins, bold jammy fruit and a warm, spicy finish. Enjoy with any baked tomato sauce pastas or pizza.
Trent Mayers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

If you are planning a pizza night with family or friends, this is a wine that needs to be on your table. It's pleasantly rustic, densely coloured, and dry with black cherry jam, dark plum, cigar box, and sage tinged with a touch of vanilla. Its considerable flavours will mesh especially well with your pizza if it has Italian sausage, mushrooms, and fresh basil. Drink now.

Matt Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Niro di Citra's Montepulciano D'Abruzzo is 100% Montepulciano (Italy's second most planted red varietal, after Sangiovese), and showcases those easy-going and great pairing characteristics that makes this super value-priced wine a fantastic choice for serving year round. Spicy dark fruits, black pepper, dried fruit, coffee, and smoky notes on the nose. The palate is refreshing with smoky dark plum persisting on the finish. Enjoy with braised dishes, creamy pasta with truffles, charcuterie, and your favourite pizza! Tasted January 2022. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
