Heather Wall rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I love the magic hour of six o’clock PM in my backyard. The sun is setting behind the trees and the pool looks so enticing.

This is Drink Ontario Wine week and I’m sipping a lovely 2020 sparkling rosé from Pelee Island Winery. Bella is a VQA Ontario blend of Pinot Noir and Auxerrois.

Perfect threads of tiny bubbles and a generous mousse in the glass. Aromas are subtle but patience rewards with fresh berries, lemon zest, white peach, blossoms, wet stones, burnt matchstick. The palate is clean and light with a lingering citrus and strawberry finish. 12% abv and good value at $18.95!

“Bella” the Italian word for beautiful.
“Aperitivo” the Italian word for a pre-meal drink; partaking in aperitivo is a cultural ritual.
“Cin cin” the Italian version of Cheers! ??

Fun wine glasses from Homesense.

Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a drier sparkling than some of Pelee Island's other offerings. I think I prefer this style for its versatility thinking of food pairings. This is blended from Pinot Noir and Auxerrois. On the nose there are aromas of field berry, lemon pith, nectarine, and a slight bready, yeasty hint. Dry, light bodied, with firm, persistent bubbles, and bright acidity, with some lime and strawberry hints on the palate, and a dry, yeasty finish. Enjoy with fish and chips, shrimp, smoked salmon, or anything with goat cheese.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
