Trent Mayers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aside from having an amusing name (mind you they do call Pinot the heartbreak grape), this is a nice expression of Niagara Pinot that’s medium bodied with a fine intensity of flavour and aroma. In your glass, you’ll find pleasant fresh and dried red fruits, spice, and vanilla with a little earthiness sneaking in at the end. It’s dry, delectable, and very good. Pair it up with dishes like cassoulet or falafel since they have that complementary earthy character as well.

Natalie's Review

Megalomaniac Sonofabitch Pinot Noir 2018, Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: From Niagara Peninsula wine region, Megalomaniac Sonofabitch 2018 Pinot Noir could be referring to the difficult and temperamental Pinot Noir grape. PN is not an easy grape to grow and just when you think you've done everything to accommodate this tight-clustered and thin-skinned grape to grow, Mother Nature can pull a fast one with frost, too much rain, or too much heat, all of which PN will not tolerate. But the wine, ah yes, the wine can be magnificent. This example is fragrant and fresh with blue florals, ripe red berry, cherry, wild strawberry, fine herbs, subtle baking spice and a smoky vanilla kiss long and satiny on the palate. Pour with duck confit. Drink: 2021-2024. 85134 13% XD 750 mL  $27.95 Score: 91/100. October 15, 2021 Top Rated Red Wine. Delightful Duck Wine  Full Review
