Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The Ramirez de la Piscina represents what a Rioja wine should be. Quality, delicious aromas and drinkability. The Crianza 2015, made exclusively from Tempranillo, exposes aromas of fig, dried blackberry, mustard seed, wet gravel, parmesan cheese, dill, almond and tobacco. Full-bodied, this Spaniard shows decent acidity and polished tannins. Its finish is dry and well layered. Palate: dried blueberry, sour cherry, dried leaves, pastrami, cinnamon, tobacco and cedar. Enjoy!
Craig Haynes rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This 100% Tempranillo was impressive. Expressive scents reminiscent of violets, dark berries and cherries, dried spices, cedar, eucalyptus, anise and black liquorice all emerged from my glass. From there, this deep ruby and purple hued creation from Rioja revealed a full bodied, mouth coating palette flush with flavours dark fruit preserves, coco and spice and velvety tannins. A delicious fruit focussed long finish added to this fine performance. Pair with roasted lamb dressed with herbs and blue cheese. Enjoy.

Smoky with ripe cherry, tobacco leaf and vanilla aromas on the nose with dark cherry, red berry, vanilla and spicy flavours velvety on the palate. Drink or hold. Pair with a roast Porchetta.
