Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This Canadian whisky was soaked for a few months in barrels used to previously make ice wine. This finishing step imparts aromas and flavours that the world over appreciates in ice wine. Aromas of caramel apples, cocoa and baking spices fill the glass, and finish with spicy, lingering dried apricot on the palate.
Wonderful as a pairing with a variety of desserts, or sitting by the campfire with S’mores.
Tasted December 2020.
David Skinner rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Brass coloured and richly hued. Aromas of toffee and spices accented by a hint of sweetness. The palate offers up more hints of the icewine barrels by upping the game to include candy apples, nutmeg and caramel. An elegant finish.
Craig Haynes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This non-vintage creation revealed splendid scents reminiscent of vanilla, butterscotch, nutmeg, burnt caramel, brown sugar and citrus that announced an appealing combination of baking spices, caramel and butterscotch flavours. This whisky was finished in icewine barrels from the Wayne Gretzky Estates winery. Mix your next Old Pal with this mid-weight Canadian whisky from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Enjoy.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Canadian proud, from Canada’s great one, Wayne Gretzky's Estates. A 3 year old whisky matured and finished in Icewine barrels for four months. From casks, and a wine itself that put Canada on the global wine map, much like Wayne Gretzky is synonymous with hockey. Icewine is made from frozen grapes and this whisky gem is a pure treasure. Beautifully aromatic with whiffs of apricots, ginger cream, chocolate and sweet smoke. Intrinsic flavours, show allspice, a hint of nut skin bitterness at the end. Pair this with some maple frosted fruitcake and a Canadian Christmas hockey movie special. Cheers! - Tasted December 2020
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Finished in icewine barrels from the winery, this whisky releases delicious aromas of toffee, butter, date square, caramel apple, oak, and hints of sweet spice. Round and smooth on the palate with lingering notes of caramel, cocoa, hazelnut and just a touch of sweetness. Nice and warming on a cold winter’s day!
