Craig Haynes rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Crafted in Ontario’s Twenty Mile Bench appellation, this impressive pinot noir featured lively, attractive fragrances of candied cherry, strawberry jam, wood smoke, leather and spice that announced layers of delicious flavours - red berries, hay and earthiness in lead roles - on a mid-weight palate. Approachable, silky tannins and a stunning fruit finish capped off this experience. Enjoy.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

An outstanding Pinot Noir from Niagara’s Twenty Mile Bench - Le Clos Jordanne overseen by iconic winemaker, Thomas Bachelder. A gorgeous glistening red colour with an intricate, burgeoning bouquet of red fruit and smoke aromas of red plummy earth, flowers, lavender and Provencal spices. Flavours reveal freshly picked red cherries, blueberry, rosemary, summer savoury, earthy minerals and grippy woody pine tannins with heated spices lingering into the back. Simply outstanding. It’s complexity and multiple nuances don’t need food to extrapolate the experience, but it would pair nicely with herbed trout and shiitake mushrooms. - Tasted December 2020
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This is a stunning Pinot Noir and will continue to be lovely for years, if you can keep it that long. Aromas of currant, red cherry and cranberry, along with hints of violets, leather and smoke. Medium to full bodied, with soft, slightly drying tannins, and medium+ acidity. Fruit on the palate is smoky and ripe, with hints of perfume and leather. Beautiful balance, really opens up after a bit of time in the glass. Savour with charcuterie and cheese by a roaring fire

Le Clos Jordanne Le Grand Clos Pinot Noir 2018, Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: I hesitated on giving this wine a score of 96, not because it doesn't deserve it (it does), but because this will make it difficult for me to buy a case or two ;) A stunning, benchmark Niagara Pinot Noir from the master of the genre, Thomas Bachelder. Aromas of ripe cherry and freshly turned earth. Medium-bodied with a silky texture. Superb quality. Perfect on its own or with roast chicken.
