Trent Mayers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Amarone is a gift from the Veneto region in Italy. The grapes are dried prior to fermentation and pressing to yield a richer, more full bodied wine than regular Valpolicella that still maintains the fresh acidity for pairing with food. This 2013 vintage from Villa Annaberta wines has developed with dried cherry, dark plum, black cherry, prune, raisin, vanilla, and forest floor mingled with herbs like sage and oregano. The tannic structure is still there, the finish hangs on, and it's drinking nicely now. Enjoy with robust foods. 3.5+ stars out of 5.
Kendra & Matthew Elliott rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This 2013 Amarone Valpolicella from Villa Annaberta Wines was a showstopper!

Aromas of plum, leather, spice + smoke on the nose (we were excited to dive in – knowing that given the first aromas, it would be a complex wine)

On the palate, it was extremely full-bodied with very smooth tannins – lots of black cherry, spice, hint of vanilla + tabacco

Each sip was complex + had great length

Great wine to pair with a chicken parmesan

For $38.95 at the LCBO, you can enjoy a high quality Amarone!

You won’t be disappointed

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
