Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

If you know me, you know I love Cabernet Franc. I love Pinot Noir, Syrah and Malbec as well, but Cabernet Franc holds a special wine spot for me. And, on my quest to try every Cabernet Franc in British Columbia, I am currently smitten with Gold Hill’s 2014 100% Cabernet Franc.

Easy to understand why it’s the winery’s flagship red. Fragrant with black raspberry, blueberry, dark cherry, cinnamon, cocoa and oak spice on the nose. Dry, medium-bodied, juicy with layers of ripe raspberry, red currant, fresh cherry, earthy dried herbs, vanilla, baking and white pepper spice flavours long on the finish. You would think the wine would be hot on the throat at 15.4% abv., but it is seamlessly smooth and silky. Delish now. Paired with roast duck. Tasted March 2020.

The Gill family have been growing grapes for over 30 years. In 2009 they introduced their own wines, juicy and intense offerings from Gold Hill Home Vineyards on British Columbia’s Golden Mile Bench.
Gail Atkins reviewed this wine as follows:

Gold Medal - 2019 BC LG Award
Medium to full-bodied red wine with cocoa, blackcurrant, herbaceous and spicy notes
Tannins are soft
Pair: lighter cuts of meat, including pork and duck, and soft cheeses like well-aged cheddar and aged asiago

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
