L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A medium bodied purple wine from Bierzo in northwestern Spain, with a pronounced aroma of juicy dark cherries, dark plum, blackberry, spice, pomegranate and a hint of minerality. The wine is dry, medium bodied and well balanced with medium tannins and acidity. The palate reflects the aromas ; dark fruit, minerality and spice. It is very pleasurable to sip and pairs very well with beef cooked with mushroom and pepper and Spanish cheese like Manchego and Iberico.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

If you love a light and earthy wine, the Abad Dom Bueno, made from 100% Mencia, will charm you with its vibrant aromas. Harvested in the Bierzo region of Spain, this light-bodied wine reveals aromas of wild blueberry, dragon fruit, dried herbs, truffle, dried leaves, brown sugar and barnyard. Perfect for an afternoon on the patio or to pair with food, the Abad Dom Bueno shows well leveled acidity and tannins, balanced with fresh fruit. The finish is short and well layered. Palate: cranberry, blueberry, rose hip, cocoa, allspice and cedar. Enjoy
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Mencia is a Spanish grape and this medium-bodied wine has cherry and dark berry aromas with an oak influence as it has been aged since 2015. Well-balanced with medium acidity and medium to high tannins. A dry finish, decanting or further ageing is recommended. Serve with beef or lamb. Tasted February 2020.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Mencía delivers a robust wine here with red fruit on a clean nose. Smooth with good fresh, fruit concentration on the palate. Full- bodied with good structure and no obvious tannins. Highly quaffable. Good value for everyday easy drinking. Serve with pizza or charcuterie. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
