Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Complexity and finesse in this beauty from South African wine royalty Olive and Anthony Hamilton Russell. Black fruit such as cherries and plums offer fullness on the nose. The palate has a lovely note of oak balanced with more black fruit, only different this time, leaning towards blackberry. There's a lovely ripeness that is full yet delicate. This wine always delivers. Serve with chicken simmered in soy and star anise. @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A medium-bodied, South African Pinot Noir that starts with aromas of dark fruit, especially black cherry, and plum. Firm tannins add a minerality on the palate leading to a long, fruity finish. Serve with lamb or rare beef.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
