Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Roussillon wines and Gerard Bertrand wines in particular are always good bets for good value. This Syrah/Grenache/Carignan blend is no exception. It makes a substantial pour with dark fruit on the nose and palate. Full bodied and smooth. Fine tannins on the finish. Pleasant long finish. Pair with smoked duck sausage or cassoulet. All in good balance. Good value. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com

Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full of flavour! Blended from Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, this wine has aromas of black plum, pepper, leather, cedar and smoke. Full bodied and smooth on the palate with more ripe, almost jammy fruit on the palate and some black pepper on the finish. A great value and consistently good every year. Enjoy with a grilled steak and sauteed mushrooms.

Natalie's Review

Gérard Bertrand Grand Terroir Tautavel Grenache Syrah Carignan 2016, Côtes Du Roussillon-Villages, Roussillon A.P., France: Robust, concentrated and satisfying southern French red wine blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. Fleshy ripe black fruit, pepper and cedar forest. Fairly smooth but it will help to decant 2 hours. Terrific price for this savoury, mouth-watering red that will pair perfectly with grilled meats.
