Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

This was my weekend wine pick: the fullbodied, complex Syrah from Creekside in the Niagara wine region. Dark purplish colour in the glass. Aromas and flavours of dark fruits and a peppery spice finish. Fun fact: it is aged 20 months in French and Hungarian oak. Beautiful sexy bottle. 12.5% alcohol. Paired well with chickpeas and spicy tuna. Not available at the SAQ but available at the LCBO (VINTAGES#: 471797) at $25.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely! Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry, along with mocha, and a hint of spice. Full bodied on the palate, with soft, drying tannins, medium+ acidity, along with tons of ripe berry flavours, and a hint of spice on the finish. Enjoy with braised short ribs.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pleasant day to day wine from Creekside Estate Winery located in the Niagara Escarpment, the Iconolast Syrah 2016 shows lovely fruit like plum and blackberry, and light touches of floral and earthy notes. Tasted at Taste Ontario, March 2020.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Potent nose of black pepper, leather, plum, violet, mild wood, savoury smoke, and cocoa. Good tannins with pleasant grip. Bright and fresh acidity. At 13% ABV, this isn't as heavy as some of the other Creekside Estate Winery offerings, it is still a stellar example of cool climate medium-bodied Syrah. Serve with BBQ ribs, extra saucy.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright plum colour in the glass. It has an enticing, complex nose of smoke and leather. Dark fruits are smooth on the palate and then it winds up with a firm, tannic finish. This will happily spend a year or two in the cellar. Enjoy now or later with steak or braised short ribs. Tasted May 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com

Natalie's Review

Creekside Iconoclast Syrah 2016, St. David's Bench, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A robust and supple Syrah from the Niagara wine region. Creekside has three variations of Syrah red wines: Broken, Unbroken and Iconoclast. Iconoclast is a medium-bodied Syrah (with some Viognier added for aromatics) with ripe red berry, blackberry, cherry, savoury herb, cracked pepper and espresso coffee flavours on the palate. Juicy and very approachable now but could easily hold in cellar for another five years. Drink: 2020-2025. 471797 12.50% XD 750 mL  $25.00 Score: 88/100.
