Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is Quails' Gate Estate Winery's flagship red. In short, it is amazing. A ballerina Pinot Noir - beautiful, elegant and well-crafted with pin-point precision. Fragrant with ripe cherry, earthy and spicy aromas on the nose, dry, medium-bodied with ultra-balanced acidity to fruit, smooth with ripe dark cherry, red berry, blueberry, earthy violets and baking spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine and well-integrated. So ready to drink now.

Wine grapes were hand-harvested from Pinot Noir vines generally over 20 years old. After two to three weeks of fermentation and maceration, the wine is gently pressed and aged in French oak barrels for 10 months prior to racking and bottling. Enjoy with grilled rack of lamb.

Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A beautiful wine you can enjoy with salmon, pork, chicken, or a nice charcuterie platter. Aromas of smoke and earth balanced with tart cherry and some black pepper. Full bodied with some medium tannins. Lots of cherry on the finish. Enjoy!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
